Sven Kirse, CFA
Managing Director
Sven is Managing Director of Kirse Advisory, based in Düsseldorf, and has over eight years of professional experience in corporate transactions. Sven’s expertise encompasses a broad spectrum of corporate finance topics, including advising on company sales, valuation, conducting financial due diligence, and the financial integration of targets.
Before his most recent role as a Senior Manager at Grant Thornton Germany, where he primarily focused on buy-side financial due diligence and sell-side support projects, he spent two and a half years in the corporate M&A department of a mid-sized pharmaceutical company. There, he developed a broader understanding of the operational aspects of M&A transactions, including business case modelling, deal valuation, SPA negotiations, and financial integration of targets. Additionally, Sven gained valuable international experience in business consulting and deepened his knowledge in optimizing operational business processes during a one-year secondment at Grant Thornton UK LLP in London.
His academic background includes a bachelor's and master's degree in economics from the University of Düsseldorf, as well as training as a bank clerk at Deutsche Bank. Since 2021, Sven has been a CFA Charterholder.
Markus Fong
Expert Acquisition Financing
Markus is based in Düsseldorf and has over 13 years of experience in corporate finance and M&A. His expertise lies particularly in structuring financing solutions for M&A transactions and succession planning in the SME sector, as well as complex corporate finance transactions.
As Managing Partner of Just Finance GmbH, an exclusive Partner of Kirse Advisory, Markus acts as a financing advisor to renowned private equity firms, investment companies, and medium-sized enterprises across the DACH region. Prior to founding his own company, he served as Head of Advisory and was part of the management team at Germany’s leading marketplace for commercial financing. He also held positions in the corporate banking division of Deutsche Bank.
Markus holds a bachelor's degree in business administration and completed a banking apprenticeship at Deutsche Bank. Since 2022, he has also been a co-owner of the professional American football team Rhein Fire.
